Stupid people, dirty country

For all my western friends (xcept R. who reads Der Spiegel :D), who don't know: the president of Romania has been suspended today. By a corrupted and completely fucked up parlament (whoevet tells me again that I should be less vulgar looses ten points :D).

Even if he s an ex sailor, even if he curses on national TV, even if he has a funky hair cut, and inspite of the fact that he s arguing with our prime minister like a young naughty couple - the guy happens to be the best thing that happened to Romania in the last 15 years. Might not be ZEE thing, but every people has the president they deserve.

Now, we are gonna have anticipated elections and we ll have to chose probably between:

-this guy (that s gonna get his ass trashed all over for the next 30 days, so he might loose some points, or some people support)

- a shepherd with 4 gymnasium classes, who can barely spell his name and who s bible is some shitty Coehlo book

- a complete extreme right maniac

- an ex commi, inheritant of all the aunts of all Romania. Including Tamara. Who has asked two years ago the parlament to count his eggs.

Et voila Romania, breaks my heart to think about you, but for once, just for once I hope this people will WAKE THE FUCK UP and do something for themselves. Or do we always need external intervention to start a revolution? Hearding like sheep. Go Gigi, so to say....

  1. Basescu = the best thing that happened to Romania, HA I say, and then HA HA...you're funny. Probably the best at showing his goals (to destroy separation of powers in the state, to drink and drive from and to Golden Whatever, to implement further the “Micu si berea” program), which is kinda cool 'cause he's not a hypocrite. There is no “best thing” that happened to Romania in matters of political interest. Although I know what “best” means, I think that if someone is the lesser loser from many others he can’t be called the “best thing that happened to Romania”. The man is a joke, an insult, a Pid’jin look-alike (trying to rule Romania by himself, which btw is kinda dangerous), he in fact did bend the Constitution (but of course that only was a pretext for his suspension). They all are “o apa si un pamant”. Anyways it was nice to rant a little on your blog. Tooteloo.

  2. Of course I understand what "best" means but from here to "the best thing that happened to Romania" is a long road. Generally we kinda share the same opinion about the "mioritic" nation (or at least I think we do), but I was wondering if his temporary suspension isn't also bringing something good to the political table, for example the democrats leaving from the government and the fact that people like Adomnitei (Minister of education) can rise to the challenge. Oh...and let's not forget that he'll be back :) in a jiffy so Vacaroiu would better not get too comfy on his chair. I don’t think he’ll lose so many points and I hope we won’t be Gigi’s heard… the others don’t really stand a chance. But there is some one who is not mentioned here…namely our BNR governor Isarescu…I heard he’d run for president too.

    PS: No need for translation.
